From Good to Brave: Building Resilience for These Times (for BIPOC)As black, brown and indigenous folks, most of us have been taught by our families and our culture how to navigate this world in a way that would hopefully keep us safe and support our success. We are taught to be “good” at all costs – even if that means suppressing parts of ourselves or each other.

It’s becoming more normal to be different, and difference is still a threat. Our world and communities benefit from you being your whole self, from challenging your own identities, privileges, biases and beliefs about yourself and others.

There are great risks that come with being unapologetically yourself. Navigating this paradox is exhausting. Taking care of ourselves is vital to our well being and is also vital to the  work we’re doing to cultivate the world we envision. Let's better prepare ourselves to take on creating change in the world.

In this workshop, specifically for BIPOC, we will use storytelling, relational activities and journaling prompts to unpack the ideas we’ve internalized about how we must show up in our everyday lives, explore who we want to be and what we want to create and you will leave with an individualized plan to build resiliency as we navigate these times.
